In an exciting and tense match in the Rams' home gym, Riverside came away with another 3-0 victory. Set scores were 25-18, 25-19, and 30-28. After a slow start in set one, the Lady Rams turned a corner with the energy the student section, affectionately named "The Rampage", provided when they clustered in the top corner of the bleachers. Riverside then upped the tempo of play and pulled ahead to take set one. Set two was another slow beginning before the Lady Rams gained control and the lead. Set three proved to be a heart stopper when the Rams and Eagles went even at 23 a piece. From there, the two teams traded points with the Rams on the trailing end until they managed to close out the match at 30-28. The Lady Rams recorded 29 kills, 23 assists, and 17 aces on the night.On the defensive side of the game, Riverside tacked on one solo block, three assisted blocks, and 22 digs. All in all, it was a tremendous win for the Rams in front of a rowdy but extremely supportive home crowd. Riverside is back in action on Tuesday at Brentsville.
